I'm losing my mind again, this doesn't feel like home.
I long for that simple place where i can be alone.
A place where i can say whats done is done,
look to a better day.
Bow down to the beating sun, absorb its peaceful rays.
I've found a way to understand.
I'll show you if you take my hand.
That better land maketh better man
But neither wind nor rain, nor a lonesome pain,
Can bring me down today.
Cos i feel alive in this forgiving place,
the place that has no name.
Back there the streets are overgrown,
and the skies are black with crows.
The earth has cracked a left a hole.
The tip of the inferno.
Perhaps i'm wrong and i'll grow tired of this place,
and need to share with someone to keep me sane.
But till that point where the feelings cease,
this is where i shall remain.
I've found a way to understand.
I'll show you if you take my hand.
That better land maketh better man.
Juxtaposing poetic balladry with roaring feedback and warped piano lines, the Vermonter's music is as stunning as it is unsettling. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 21, 2024
